Book 3

Description

My third book is the one God had lain on my heart that I must write.  We had two beautiful sons and were delighted that we were going to have a third son.  We had no idea that our baby would be born less than perfect.  Justin was born with a full facial cleft.  He had no nose; his eyes were on each side of his face.  There was no opening in his left ear and no bone structure where his forehead should have been.  Doctors were shocked and did not believe he could possibly live.  They really didn’t believe that his brain could be developed.   If he did live, they said, the best thing would be to put him in an institution and forget this entire horrible experience.  We could have other children, we were told.
